James “Jimmy” Preston Lane, 71, of Glasgow, KY
passed away Friday, February 13, 2025, at his residence. He was born in
Glasgow, KY on August 31, 1953, to the late Preston and Elsie Jeffries Lane.
In his youth he attended Seven Springs Church and retired from IMI in Glasgow. He enjoyed sales, auctions and spending time with his family and friends, and especially his beloved dog Bella.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years Teresa
Finn Lane of Glasgow, KY; three children Amanda Lane Brown, Joey Lane and Jamie
Clark (Todd) all of Glasgow, KY; ten grandchildren Kayla, Ressie, Shelby,
Kelsey, Brailey, Chloe, Shaelyn, Kamryn, Braile, and Callee; two great
grandchildren Finn and Elsye Kay and one on the way; a sister Janice Turner
(Clay) and several other friends and relatives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Terry Lane and infant sister Nancy Karen Lane.
The family chose cremation, and a memorial
service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Seven Springs
Church. A memorial visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00pm Tuesday at Seven
Springs Church.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
McMurtrey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
