Betty Jean Burroughs, age 93, of Summer Shade passed away on January 19, 2023 at the Fair Oaks Health and Rehab in Jamestown. She was born on September 01, 1929 in Celina, TN to the late Hettie Clark Buford and Luther Buford.
She is survived by two daughters, Leah Atlas (Alan) of Pennsylvaniaand Patsy Farris Shelbyville, TN; two sons, Barry Burroughs of Summer Shade and Kenny Burroughs (Cynthia) of Tompkinsville; one sister, Billie Rees (Felix) of Tullahoma, TN; one brother, James Buford of Murfreesboro, TN; and six grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Carson Burroughs, and one brother Ray Buford.
Private family services were held at the NetherlandCemetery in Rickman, TN. Arrangements were under the direction of McMurtrey Funeral Home.
